Dangyang's major industrial enterprises are expected to experience a revenue growth of over 10 percent in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period last year.
Since the start of this year, significant progress has been made on major projects in Dangyang.
Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Group is constructing a "1 million pig full industry chain" project in Dangyang, which includes five pig farms, animal feed plants, and slaughterhouses. With an investment of 216 million yuan (US$30.46 million), construction on the main building of the animal feed plant is currently underway and is projected to begin operations in August. It will have a designed production capacity of 360,000 tons per year.
Upon completion, the project is expected to generate 1.2 billion yuan in revenue. This will not only expand the local industry's scale but also standardize and modernize the agricultural sector in the region.
