A large-waste tire recycling factory is about to begin operations in Yidu.

Constructed since July 2023, four out of the eight production lines at Hengdali Renewable Resource Co., Ltd. will start to retrieve steel wire, fuel oil, and carbon black from waste tires.
With investment totaling 326 million yuan (US$44.7 million), the facility is expected to process 100,000 tons of waste tires annually and generate an output value of 210 million to 250 million yuan once fully operational.

Steel wire is an important product in tire recycling. Priced at over 2,000 yuan per ton, these steel wires can be reused in the production of new tires, steel casting, and other projects.

The remaining tire slivers can be processed by pyrolysis technology to produce fuel oil and carbon black. Fuel oil is used in ocean ships and the chemical industry, while carbon black can be utilized as a fuel additive and color concentrate and also in the tire production process.
