Approved by the Ministry of Education earlier this year, the private university is designed to host up to 5,000 full-time students with 1,900 expected by 2025.

Located in Dianjun District, the 1,100-mu (73 hectares) campus includes nearly 300 full-time teachers, nine specialized centers and 53 laboratories for hands-on training in flight simulation, air-ground communication practice, wind tunnel experiments, drone training, flight attendant training, aviation logistics labs and more.

The institute will initially offer five undergraduate majors in aircraft manufacturing engineering and computer science and technology alongside eight junior college majors such as fixed-wing aircraft driving technology, aircraft digital manufacturing technology, aircraft maintenance technology and flight attendant training.

The institute has signed cooperation agreements with more than 60 companies, such as Hubei Airport Group, Ezhou Huahu Airport, and Lingyun (Yichang) Aviation Engineering Co., Ltd. These partnerships will provide students with extensive internship and career opportunities.
