Starting July 1, the Yichang Railway Department will implement a new train schedule featuring optimized routes, added stops, and upgraded services. These changes are part of the nationwide rollout of new train schedules. The department oversees the operation of 31 cargo, passenger and other train stations in Yichang, Jingmen, Jingzhou and Enshi.

Yichang East Railway Station
The D5832/3 and D5816 trains, which used to travel between Wuhan and Yichang’s main passenger station Yichang East, will now run between Wuhan and Jingmen West.
A new G1990 service from Yichang East to Zhengzhou East will depart at 3:44 pm and arrive at 8:31 pm, offering improved afternoon connectivity.
The G511 service from Beijing West to Wuhan’s Hankou Station will be extended to Yichang East, increasing daily services between Beijing and Yichang to seven.
The K2095/6 train from Datong to Yichang East will now end in Changsha, adding stops at Dangyang, Zhicheng, and Songzi West, improving access to remote areas in Songzi and Zhicheng.
Several high-speed trains from Shanghai to Chengdu and Chongqing, such as D2207 and D3073, will now stop at Jianshi, Lichuan, and Yesanguan on the Yichang – Wanzhou Railway, enhancing travel convenience and local development in the Wuling Mountains.
Tickets for trains under the new schedule have been on sale since June 17. Passengers can check train information via the 12306 platform and other official channels or follow local station announcements.
