Yichang Port Group handles nearly 16 million tons of cargo in H1

In the first half of this year, Yichang Port Group handled approximately 15.85 million tons of cargo, 7.16 percent higher than last year. Container throughput reached 133,400 TEUs, up 4.62 percent year-on-year. Both figures exceeded the group’s mid-year targets. Yichang Port Group operates Zhicheng Port, Baiyang Port, Yunchi Port, Yidu Port and Zigui Port.

Zhicheng Port reached out to the chemical enterprises in the hinterland to meet their demand for phosphate ore, achieving a phosphate ore throughput of 1.02 million tons, a year-on-year surge of 37.7 percent.
Yunchi Port made every effort to ensure coal supply during the summer peak season, achieving a coal throughput of 211,000 tons, up 28.7 percent year-on-year.
Baiyang Port actively supported the operation of Tianjiahe Chemical Park, with chemical product throughput reaching 321,000 tons, a remarkable year-on-year increase of 435 percent.
In the first half of the year, Yidu Port launched five new routes, including the "Guizhou-Zhicheng-Wuhu" phosphate ore route and the "Wanzhou-Baiyang-Dangyang" heavy alkali route.
