The city will continue to promote its specialties, such as Yichang Fatty Fish and Yichang Red Oil Baozi, with a special culinary skills competition and food festival during the Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival. The event aims to elevate these local delicacies to national fame.

To ensure high-quality dining experiences, Yichang is strengthening its production bases for premium ingredients, including Yichang fatty fish, Yiling yellow cattle, mushrooms, konjac, and tianma.

The city will also promote themed banquets, such as the "Qu Yuan Banquet," the "Zhaojun Banquet," and the "Three Kingdoms Banquet." It will also highlight its top ten famous dishes and snacks such as original-flavored fat fish, Yichang "Cold Shrimp Jelly," and radish dumplings.

On July 24, Xiba Everbright City, one of the province’s first designated nighttime consumption hubs, will reopen after an upgrade. It features performances blending anime culture and intangible heritage.

A series of nighttime events, including beer and crayfish festivals, food fairs, and music celebrations in districts such as Xiling, Wujiagang, and Dianjun, will offer a dynamic mix of dining, shopping, and entertainment.

Yichang will also issue nighttime consumption vouchers in popular areas such as Taozhu Road and Zhongnan Road, offering additional discounts through Meituan. A total of 20 renowned restaurants, 30 fatty fish restaurants, and six international cuisine venues will participate in the "Fan Appreciation" campaign, offering deals to food lovers.
