Yichang Sanxia International Airport has hit a historic milestone. As of August 22, the airport welcomed 84,800 cross-border passengers, surpassing last year’s total two months ahead of schedule and marking its fastest growth to date.
Notably, 51,800 trips, accounting for 61.1 percent of total cross-border traffic, were made by travelers from 39 countries and regions. This surge underscores the airport’s growing international reach and its role in connecting Yichang more closely with the world.
