Three Gorges Tourism sets new record for half-year profit

Hubei Three Gorges Tourism Group reported a record-high adjusted half-year net profit of 58.39 million yuan (US$8.11 million) for 2025, up 19 percent from a year earlier. The Yichang-based tourism group reported a revenue of 367 million yuan in the first six months, up 7.47 percent year-on-year.
The Shenzhen-listed company's tourism business generated 286 million yuan revenue, up 20.2 percent. Its cruise operations attracted 1.25 million visitors, up nearly 11 percent. The signature "Two Dams and One Gorge" tour which goes through the Gezhouba Dam, the Three Gorges Dam and the Xiling Gorge has improved visitor experiences with upgraded services.
The company plans to launch four new-energy cruise ships under its "Yangtze River Cruise" brand. The first vessel will operate on the Chongqing-Yichang route starting June 2026, with two methanol-fueled hybrid ships to follow. The project is expected to yield 100 million yuan annual net profit at full capacity.
