During the 2026 May Day holiday, Yichang Sanxia International Airport handled 25 international flights and 3,185 international passengers, up 47.1 percent and 55.4 percent year on year, both record highs for the holiday period.

Yichang Sanxia International AirportThe airport operated 424 flights in total, serving 50,200 passengers and handling 418.79 tons of cargo, mail, and baggage. Freight volume rose 72.1 percent from a year earlier. Nineteen airlines operated 44 routes connecting Yichang with 53 destinations.
Domestic routes to Beijing, Shenzhen, Kunming, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shanghai, and other major cities averaged about 10,000 passengers per day. Internationally, the airport maintained nine routes linking Yichang with Bangkok, Hanoi, Vientiane, Kuching, Vladivostok, Singapore, Seoul, Cheongju, and Hong Kong.
