Ultra-fast charging battery set for mass production in June

A new generation of ultra-fast charging batteries is set to enter mass production in Yichang in June, according to Hubei Dongyu Xinsheng New Energy Co., Ltd.
Designed for both pure electric and hybrid vehicles, the company's latest "120" series batteries charge 2 to 3 minutes faster than the industry average, said Peng Yi, head of the company’s product division. He added that the batteries show zero capacity degradation in the first year and can still retain 90 percent health after 10 years of use.

Leveraging AI-driven technologies, the manufacturer has replaced traditional trial-and-error methods with an intelligent, fully integrated system covering R&D, production, and quality inspection. Its products now serve sectors including power batteries, large-scale energy storage, consumer electronics, and the low-altitude economy.

Once operational, the ultra-fast charging batteries will be supplied for Dongfeng’s Voyah, Yipai, Nano, and Liuqi models, he noted.
