Yichang adds extra flights for summer travel peak

The 2026 civil aviation summer travel season will officially begin on July 1. Passenger demand is expected to surge during this period as families take summer vacations, graduates travel, migrant workers return home, and business travel increases.

Yichang Sanxia International Airport
To better serve passengers, Yichang Sanxia International Airport has worked with Hainan Airlines, Air Changan, and Tianjin Airlines to add and restore several major domestic routes for the summer peak season.
This summer, 17 airlines will operate 36 domestic and international routes, connecting the airport with 46 destinations in China and abroad.
The newly added and resumed routes mainly serve popular destinations in northern and southwestern China.
Starting July 5, Hainan Airlines will add flights on the Yichang-Beijing route every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday under flight numbers HU6267/HU6268. After the expansion, there will be three to five daily flights between Yichang and Beijing, providing passengers with more travel options.
Wednesday: Departs Beijing Capital International Airport at 8:00 pm, arrives in Yichang at 10:15 pm; departs Yichang at 11:10 pm, arrives at Beijing Capital International Airport at 1:25 am the following day.
Friday: Departs Beijing Capital International Airport at 7:00 pm, arrives in Yichang at 9:20 pm; departs Yichang at 10:05 pm, arrives at Beijing Capital International Airport at 12:25 am the following day.
Sunday: Departs Beijing Capital International Airport at 7:30 pm, arrives in Yichang at 9:50 pm; departs Yichang at 10:35 pm, arrives at Beijing Capital International Airport at 12:55 am the following day.
Beginning July 15, Air Changan will launch a daily Guiyang-Yichang-Dalian route under flight numbers 9H8427/9H8428. The new service will increase the number of daily flights between Yichang and Guiyang to four.
Flights depart Guiyang at 6:00 am and arrivein Yichang at 7:25 am; depart Yichang at 8:10 am, and arrive in Dalian at 10:40 am.
Return flights depart Dalian at 11:40 am,and arrive in Yichang at 2:15 pm; depart Yichang at 3:00 pm, and arrive in Guiyang at 4:25 pm.
Beginning July 2, Tianjin Airlines will resume the Yichang-Shijiazhuang route, operating every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday under flight numbers GS7417/GS7418.
Flights depart Shijiazhuang at 7:00 pm, and arrive in Yichang at 8:55 pm; depart Yichang at 9:35 pm, and arrive in Shijiazhuang at 11:30 pm.
The additional summer routes connect major tourism hubs, expanding travel options and further strengthening the airport’s domestic route network.
