Angel Yeast and the China National Research Institute of Food and Fermentation Industries (CNRIFFI) jointly drafted the standard in 2021. It was approved at the 47th session in 2024 and adopted unanimously at this year's session.

The standard marks the first global Codex product standard led by China. It establishes unified guidelines for the production, trade, and regulation of baker's yeast worldwide.

Throughout the process, Angel Yeast compiled data from the global yeast industry and contributed 40 years of production expertise and technological experience.

Angel Yeast now exports to more than 170 countries and regions. Since 2010, the company has established yeast production facilities in Egypt, Russia, Indonesia, and other markets. Beyond exporting products and technologies, the company has promoted standardized practices across the yeast industry, evolving from a product supplier into a contributor to global industry standards.
