City adds Guangzhou flights for summer travel peak

To meet rising passenger demand during the summer travel rush, Sanxia International Airport, in partnership with China Southern Airlines, has added extra round-trip flights between Yichang and Guangzhou.

The additional service will run from August 6 to August 31, with one daily round trip scheduled.

Flight CZ8405 departs Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 10 am and arrives at Yichang Sanxia International Airport at 11:55 am.

The return flight, CZ8406, departs Yichang at 12:45 pm and arrives in Guangzhou at 2:40 pm. All newly added flights operate during the daytime, providing more convenient travel options for passengers.

With the new schedule, three daily round-trip flights will connect Yichang and Guangzhou. Covering different daytime travel periods, the service meets the needs of business travelers, family visits, and leisure trips.

Since the start of the summer travel season, Sanxia International Airport has worked with multiple airlines to expand capacity on popular routes.

In addition to the newly upgraded Yichang-Guangzhou route, the airport has increased flight frequencies to Beijing, Shenzhen, Dalian, Guiyang, and Shijiazhuang.

Driven by Yichang’s growing economy, expanding cultural and tourism sectors, and strong summer travel demand, passenger traffic at the airport has increased steadily.

Upcoming concerts by well-known singers in Yichang are also expected to attract more visitors.

The airport has coordinated with airlines in advance to optimize flight capacity during the summer peak season.

By adding services on high-demand routes, it aims to provide passengers with smoother and more convenient travel experiences.
