The AI Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center has entered its final construction phase after passing a preliminary inspection in early August.
The project in Dianjun District, formerly known as the Beidou Industrial Park, represents an investment of more than 1.07 billion yuan (US$159 million), according to project owner Yichang Qichen Investment Development Co., Ltd.
Finishing work, including interior and exterior decoration, equipment installation, utility networks, and landscaping, is now underway.
Covering 160,000 square meters, the center has already attracted businesses and services in areas including startup incubation, smart healthcare, embodied intelligence, and talent housing.
According to Qichen Investment, the center is focusing on attracting businesses in key industries such as big data, artificial intelligence, and smart manufacturing, as well as supporting services needed across the industry chain.
The site is positioned as a provincial-level demonstration base for the digital economy. It aims to establish a data processing center and an OPC (One Person Company) business community.
The center brings together resources from government, industry, academia, research, finance, services, and applications. Once the final acceptance inspection is completed, preparations will begin for companies to move in.
