Yichang Sanxia International Airport has won the 2025 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award for best departure airport in Asia-Pacific (2–5 million passengers), the industry's highest recognition of service excellence.
The honor, announced Sept. 2, puts the airport alongside the region's best in passenger experience — a feat certified by Airports Council International.

ASQ Awards Ceremony, part of ACI World's annual Airport Experience Summit is held from Aug. 31 to Sept. 4 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Yichang Sanxia International Airport won Best Airport at Departures: 2 to 5 Million Passengers in Asia-Pacific.
ACI, the global trade association of airport authorities, unveiled the awards during its annual Airport Experience Summit in Istanbul, Turkey, running Aug. 31 through Sept. 4.
Behind the recognition is the airport's signature "Five-Color" service system — a passenger-focused initiative using color-coded wristbands and stickers to provide targeted assistance to elderly travelers, unaccompanied minors, first-time flyers and late-arriving passengers. Each color — red, orange, yellow, green and blue — corresponds to a specific type of support.

Looking ahead, the airport aims to continue benchmarking against global best practices as Yichang develops into an inland open hub with high-quality growth.
