The park, operated by Hubei Fluorosilicone Yicheng New Materials Co., Ltd., is a joint venture between Do-Fluoride New Materials Co., Ltd. and Yihua Group. The project marks another step in efforts to turn by-products from phosphorus fertilizer production into higher-value fluorine chemicals.
Electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid is a key raw material used in solar cell manufacturing and other industries. The plant made its first shipment in August.
Do-Fluoride’s headquarters supported construction by providing process technology, equipment commissioning expertise, and access to market channels. The plant joins an anhydrous aluminum fluoride production line that began shipping products in January, further expanding the company’s product range.
A workshop of Hubei Fluorosilicone Yicheng New Materials Co., Ltd.“The project’s smooth start of production and rapid first shipment would not have been possible without the headquarters’ comprehensive support in technology, processes, and equipment commissioning,” said Xie Chenlong, safety director of Hubei Fluorosilicone Yicheng New Materials Co., Ltd.
Xie said the company will work to bring the electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid line to full production and continue expanding into high-end fluorochemical products.
