Both vessels are 31.8 meters long and 5.2 meters wide. They are powered by electricity, featuring two 150-kilowatt propulsion systems and a 1,032-kilowatt-hour lithium battery pack. They consume no fuel and produce no exhaust emissions or oil pollution, and operate with low noise and vibration.

The ships each have a gross tonnage of 258 tons and can sail at a top speed of 16 kilometers per hour for about six hours on a full charge.

The maiden voyage coincided with National Day. The local civil affairs authority held a ceremony on the ships and issued marriage certificates to some newlyweds. The couples and the first visitor to board all received a VIP cruise certificate.

The debut follows the launch of Yishui, the first new energy ship on the Qing River, in May 2024. The expanded fleet further advances the scenic area's green transition and carbon reduction efforts.
