Experience 100 Professions in Yichang, Episode 1: Training and Incubating Workshops for People with Disabilities

Two Gen Z journalists, Hu Yikai and Zhou Chengxin, are on a mission to explore 100 unique professions across Yichang.

Today is China’s National Disability Day, and they’re diving into something truly special. In this episode, they visit two inspiring workshops dedicated to training and supporting people with disabilities: the Mingzhu Color Pottery Cultural Development Center and the Xingchu Disabled Persons’ Studio. These places aren’t just about skills training; they’re about opening doors to job opportunities, fostering creativity, and empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve independence. In Xiling District alone, over 300 people have found meaningful employment through these inclusive initiatives.
