A birdwatcher observed five grebe eggs at Juhe National Wetland Park and, a week later, was delighted to see the hatchlings swimming alongside their parent.

Grebe: Small and duck-like. Good at diving, carnivorous bird species. It is included in the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species. Breeding season is from May to July, with two to 10 eggs laid in floating nests. Both parents take turns incubating. When leaving the nest, they cover the eggs with aquatic plants. The incubation period is 19 to 28 days.
