Shipbuilder sees booming business

Since relocating to a new industrial park in 2025, Damen Yichang Shipyard has received a surge of orders. Multiple vessels are currently under construction at different stages. The shipyard’s output value in 2026 is expected to rise by more than 40%, approaching 1 billion yuan (US$143 million).
