For the past year, a warm kindness has thrived in a small noodle shop in Yichang. Since March, an anonymous benefactor has funded a daily offering: a steaming bowl of noodles and a fresh egg for any sanitation worker who enters.
The workers sign a ledger to receive their meal. So far, over 10,000 signatures have been recorded, supported by more than 60,000 yuan in secret donations. Shop owner Wu Qichun contributes by discounting each meal from 7 yuan to 6 yuan.
