Envision AESC to mass-produce latest model in Yichang

Envision AESC’s Yichang factory will begin mass production of its latest product, the Envision 790Ah cell, on July 15, according to company officials.

The 790Ah energy storage cell is the world’s largest prismatic wound cell, overcoming previous technical bottlenecks in this cell type. It has an energy capacity of 2,528Wh, an energy density of more than 440Wh/L, a cycle life of up to 15,000 cycles, and DC energy efficiency of no less than 96 percent. It has passed key safety tests and obtained certifications for entry into more than 20 markets worldwide.

The product will be manufactured at the Envision AESC Yichang Super Factory, which has an annual production capacity of 40GWh, equivalent to 13,333 Chinese families’ annual electricity consumption. The factory’s AI-controlled production system can cover every part of the lithium battery manufacturing process.

Envision AESC currently operates seven energy storage super factories worldwide, with planned global production capacity exceeding 200GWh. The company serves more than 400 energy storage power stations across over 20 countries and regions. Its cumulative deliveries of energy storage cells have surpassed 100GWh, while its overseas shipments rank among the world’s top three.
