High-tech greenhouses boost vegetable production

At 1,800 meters above sea level, Huoshaoping in Changyang is known for growing high-mountain vegetables. A 200-mu (13.3-hectare) demonstration base uses 91 reinforced steel greenhouses and integrated irrigation and fertilization systems. Of the total area, 65 mu is dedicated to soilless farming, producing up to 15,000 kilograms of premium tomatoes per mu.
