Orchid Culture Fair kicks off at Qu Yuan’s hometown

Zigui County launched its Dragon Boat Festival celebrations on May 30 with the "Orchid Culture Festival" in Jiuwanxi Town. Known as the "Orchid Capital" for its ties to Qu Yuan's legend of orchid cultivation, the town hosted orchid viewing, auctions, and themed performances.

Qu Yuan, honored through the Dragon Boat Festival, praised the orchid as a symbol of  nobility and purity.
