Sanlü Embroidery competition showcases stitching techniques

The Qu Yuan Hometown Scenic Area in Zigui County hosted a Sanlü Embroidery competition this past Sunday, where more than 60 female embroiderers demonstrated traditional stitching techniques. The county is promoting the industrialization of embroidery through a "company + female embroiderer" model, training over 5,800 embroiderers and increasing local income by more than 3 million yuan.

Named after the ancient poet and politician Qu Yuan, governor of Sanlü in the State of Chu, Sanlü Embroidery is recognized as an Yichang city-level intangible cultural heritage.
