Chinese mergansers play in winter waters

In the warm winter sunshine, more than 10 Chinese mergansers swim peacefully in the waters of Baibaozhai, Dangyang. As a nationally protected species in China, the Chinese merganser has returned here to winter for 15 consecutive years. Today, Baibaozhai also attracts other rare birds such as egrets, cormorants and ruddy shelducks.
