Zhijiang Yangtze River Bridge undergoes load testing

Load testing began on the Zhijiang Yangtze River Bridge on September 21 ahead of its scheduled opening to traffic by the end of 2026. The static load test used 96 trucks weighing 35 tons each, while dynamic testing assessed the bridge’s performance under moving loads. The tests were conducted at night when temperatures were more stable. Once the bridge opens, travel time across the river will be reduced to five minutes.
