Within the vast Three Gorges region, majestic landscapes cradle hidden realms of biodiversity.
Explore the Three Gorges, a bilingual documentary series, invites viewers into protected reserves along the Yangtze River, including the Hubei Dalaoling National Nature Reserve, the Hubei Badong Rhinopithecus roxellanae National Nature Reserve, and the Chongqing Wulipo National Nature Reserve. Within these havens thrive unique species, vital ecosystems, and pristine habitats, safeguarded by dedicated conservation efforts.
In Episode 3, Chen Si, a reporter from the Yichang International Communication Center, travels to Wushan County in Chongqing with Zhou Houlin, a senior engineer at the Chongqing Wulipo National Nature Reserve, to search for the rare Wushan salamander, a species native to the reserve.
Along the way, the landscape unfolds to reveal deep canyons, steep mountains, and expansive subalpine meadows.
