Ultra-fast charging battery project kicks off in Yichang to revolutionize EVs

Hubei Dongyu Xinsheng New Energy Co., Ltd. marked two milestones on September 18: breaking ground on its ultra-fast charging battery project and delivering its 20 millionth cell.

The new project will producer battery cells with ultra-fast charging, long range, and strong cold-weather performance, addressing key challenges in the EV industry.
Established in 2022 through a collaboration between Sunwoda EVB, Dongfeng Motor, and Dongfeng Hongtai, Dongyu Xinsheng focuses on the R&D, design, production, and sales of power battery cells, modules, PACKs, and full battery systems.
Since beginning production in October 2023, the company has rapidly expanded output. Its battery solutions power various Dongfeng brands, as well as vehicles from manufacturers like Geely and Nissan, spanning a wide range from compact A00-class cars to mid- and large-sized SUVs.
