A village's journey toward zero carbon

Deep in Yichang’s mountains, Yechanping Village is working toward its zero-carbon goal. Livestock manure is converted into biogas for cooking and power, while solar panels on rooftops and unused land produce clean energy. Organic fertilizer made from biogas residue supports local farming and helps increase farmers' incomes. Carbon credit trading is also creating a new source of income by turning emissions reductions into revenue.
