In early October, Yichang Honey Oranges entered their peak export season, with local companies ramping up shipments of premium early-ripening varieties to Russia, Malaysia and other markets.

During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, Yilinghong Eco-Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. exported approximately 150 tons of Yichang Honey Oranges daily, according to General Manager Wang Enzhen. “To handle the export surge, we asked all employees to remain on duty throughout the holiday break and prepared enough raw materials to ensure timely order fulfillment," Wang said.

Inside Yilinghong's processing facility, automated sorting lines run at full speed as golden, plump Yichang Honey Oranges are washed, dried, and graded before being packaged for overseas shipment. "We expect our company's Honey Orange export volume in October to increase by over 20 percent compared to the same period last year," said Sales Manager Wan Zhongbo.

An export merchant Hu Liqin added: "This year, we plan to supply about 5,000 tons of Yichang Honey Oranges to major Russian supermarket chains.”

Quality inspector Zhang Hualing noted that this year's early ripening Yichang Honey Oranges measure over 11 degrees Brix in sugar content, nearly as sweet as ripe watermelon. Wang said that from eco-friendly orchard cultivation to intelligent factory sorting, technology ensures every fruit meets export standards for both sweetness and appearance.
