Yichang CORNEX begins large-scale battery exports to Europe

Yichang CORNEX New Energy Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. has begun its first large-scale shipment to the EU market, sending a batch of energy storage battery modules to Bulgaria via the Yichang Comprehensive Bonded Zone on October 24.

The shipment from the leading energy storage battery maker in Yichang includes 204 battery units with a total capacity of 1,020 MWh, enough to power 400,000 people for a day. Each unit contains 4,992 high-performance 314 Ah batteries.

The products meet leading global performance and safety standards and will support a 24-hour clean energy network for local photovoltaic power stations and wind farms, improving renewable energy utilization.

To meet European market requirements, the product has passed 62 stringent safety tests and obtained authoritative certifications, including UL and IEC.

“This product achieves a cycle life of over 12,000 cycles. Its energy density surpasses traditional solutions by 40 percent, while reduces the usage of land by 32 percent,” said Han Hui, Production Manager of the Container Workshop at Yichang CORNEX.

Production for this batch began in July using in-house technology and equipment. The full shipment is expected to be dispatched within 10 days.

This entry into the European market demonstrates the technological prowess and competitive edge of Yichang's new energy equipment manufacturing sector.

“Global demand for new energy products continues to rise. Our company will continue to increase R&D investment and expand production capacity to bring more Yichang-made new energy products to the world stage,” said Zhou Guoli, General Manager of Yichang CORNEX.

Currently, orders at Yichang CORNEX are booked through next year.
