The Yichang Citrus Industry Association signed a 662 million yuan (US$93.84 million) deal with a prominent Beijing supply chain firm at the 15th National Premium Agricultural Products Exhibition Week in Beijing, marking a significant step in expanding Yichang citrus sales in North China.

Specialty agricultural products are showcased at the 15th National Premium Agricultural Products Exhibition Week in Beijing.
Four leading agricultural enterprises from Yichang presented more than 40 specialty products, including Yiling Red mandarins, Zigui navel oranges and Yihong black tea.
The deal highlights Yichang citrus's growing presence in the Beijing market. According to Wang Enzhen, President of the Yichang Citrus Industry Association, the city produces over 4 million tons of citrus annually, with around 800,000 tons sold in Beijing. The three major public brands - Yichang mandarins, Zigui navel oranges and Qingjiang ponkans - are especially popular with local consumers and have seen steady sales growth.
