City airport sets new passenger record

Yichang Sanxia International Airport surpassed 3.3 million passengers for the first time on December 16, exceeding its previous peak of 3.26 million in 2019. As a key regional aviation hub, the airport now operates 61 passenger routes connecting 51 domestic and international destinations. Recent international additions include flights to Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi), Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Seoul and Singapore.
