Under the new schedule, the Yichang Train Service Section will operate 169 pairs of passenger trains daily, an increase of 23.5 pairs compared to the fourth quarter of 2025. A "half pair" refers to a one-way train.

After the schedule adjustment, Yichangbei Railway Station will handle up to 74 trains per day, with direct services to major cities including Beijing, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Jinan and Zhengzhou. Additionally, during evening peak hours from 7 pm to 8 pm, eight commuter trains will operate within the "Golden Triangle” of Wuhan, Xiangyang and Yichang.
Yichangbei Railway Station, a key station on the Wuhan-Yichang section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Railway, will boost its passenger handling capacity significantly with the new 2026 schedule. The station was opened on December 26, 2025.

Meanwhile, Yichang East Station will run more than 200 trains daily, including four new loop high-speed trains and a round-trip tourist train between Yichang East and Xi'an.

Tickets for the new schedule will go on sale from January 12, with details available via the 12306 platform or station announcements.
