During the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, Yichang Sanxia International Airport served 67,000 departing passengers, a 26.1 percent increase, and 46,000 arriving passengers, a 6.2 percent rise.
Public road vehicles recorded 647,000 passenger trips, a nearly 40 percent increase. More than 2 million vehicles passed through the city's 38 expressway toll stations, a 6.3 percent rise from last year.
Railways managed 269,000 departures, up more than 18 percent, and 207,000 arrivals, an increase of nearly 9 percent. Yichangbei Railway Station, the city's newest high-speed railway station, which opened in December 2025, saw 41,000 departures and 24,000 arrivals.
Approximately 189,000 passengers traveled via waterways, a 76.4 percent year-on-year increase, with Yangtze River routes accounting for 77 percent of the traffic.

On February 19, the third day of the Spring Festival holidays, a cruise ship carrying 69 Thai tourists navigate the Gezhouba Dam No. 3 Ship Lock.
