Airport adds routes for winter-spring season

Yichang Sanxia International Airport will add new routes, increase flight frequencies and resume several routes when China's 2026-2027 winter-spring flight season begins on October 25.
The new season will run from October 25, 2026, to March 27, 2027, lasting 154 days.

Tianjin Airlines will launch a Yichang–Haikou route; Xizang Airlines will open a Dali–Yichang–Nanjing route; and Shenzhen Airlines will add a Chengdu Tianfu–Yichang–Quanzhou route. Hainan Airlines will increase flight frequencies on the Yichang–Beijing Capital route, and Juneyao Airlines will add flights on the Yichang–Shanghai Pudong route. Donghai Airlines will resume the Nantong–Yichang–Xishuangbanna route.
In addition, Changan Airlines plans to launch Yichang–Tengchong and Yichang–Mangshi routes in December, while Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines plans to introduce a Jinan–Yichang–Xishuangbanna route the same month.
The airport will then connect Yichang with 53 domestic and international destinations, with more frequent flights on major routes.
Domestically, Yichang will have three to five daily flights to Beijing, three to Shenzhen, and two to three to Chengdu. Flights to Shanghai, Guangzhou, Kunming and Guiyang will each run twice daily, while services to Qingdao, Taizhou, Quanzhou, Ningbo, Jieyang, Taiyuan, Beihai, Tianjin, Huizhou, Xuzhou, Maotai, and Haikou will operate once daily.
The airport will continue to operate routes to Russia's Far East, the Republic of Korea, several Southeast Asian countries and China's Hong Kong SAR to meet demand for outbound tourism and cross-border business travel.
To improve the transit experience, the airport has introduced overnight transit benefits. Overnight transit passengers with connections of 8–72 hours can enjoy one night of free accommodation and one hotel pick-up or drop-off if they apply online at least one day before their first flight. Those with connections of 4–8 hours can apply for a meal voucher.
Passengers can search for the "Transit Passenger Service" (中转旅客服务通) mini-program on WeChat, select Yichang, and apply for free accommodation or a meal voucher.
