On November 1, about 16,000 runners from 31 provinces took part in the 2026 Yichang Marathon at Yichang World Peace Park in a light rain. The World Athletics Label race offered full and half marathon distances. The 42.195-kilometer course passed landmarks including Natural Tower, Lighthouse Square, and Wujiagang Yangtze River Bridge.
